Visitor Profile

A seasonal report on the profile of visitors to the Alentejo, including analysis of travel characteristics; reasons for visiting; degree of satisfaction with destination attributes; and purchase behaviour. The information is collected at different times of the year (low season and high season), with a completion process and questionnaires at all tourist offices, places of touristic interest and tourist services (including accommodation units and tourist entertainment companies located in the Alentejo Region (NUTS II).

Análise à procura e navegabilidade nos websites e, a partir das respectivas contas do google analytics. Análise de conteúdos publicados sobre o Alentejo e Ribatejo nas redes sociais (entre outros, TripAdvisor; Facebook).

Análise ao perfil do utilizador dos websites e, tipologias de páginas mais visitantes e termos de pesquisa utilizados. Medição de sensibilidade, configurada por palavras chave, as quais são agrupadas em atributos positivos e negativos descritos pelos visitantes da região Alentejo e Ribatejo.

Tourist Mobility

The analysis of indicators that enables visitors, their origin and nationality to be quantified and qualified in real time and analysis to be undertaken of mobility within the Alentejo tourist destination (NUTS II); main points of interest (POIs) and tourist routes; and overnight stays versus areas visited.

The indicators are determined by georeferenced location and measure travel patterns (geographical basis: municipality and parish in the Alentejo Region – NUTS II); analysis is divided into : week, weekend, day, holidays; the number of arrivals (visit and overnight) of Portuguese residents, by municipality of origin (with the possibility of seeing the number of visits by residents in the area under analysis); the profile data of residents abroad, Portuguese residents and residents of the area ( e.g. age, gender, household and others if possible); the number of people staying/not staying overnight; where they stay; the level of data breakdown – municipality and parish; and the total number of overnight stays at the destination per unit of visit.
